I suppose I show you this photo of goldenrod since my sinuses have been affected. Pretty soon it will be cold and freeze these plants.
"So what's happening, Mrs. George?" (I can't tell you the thousands of times I heard that phrase in my entire teaching career). I hated that phrase way back when and just thought, "Speak respectfully, please." But, you know how it goes, language phrases change with the generations. "So, Mrs. George. What's up?"
* I have figured out that I work in Gainesville. Part time, you see. I can count on two hands the number of times I have not driven to Gainesville in the past ten months . . . and I have callouses on the palms of my hands, as well as a sore right butt cheek to prove it. Mama says to use Truett's gel pillow for his wheel chair, and I just might.
* Truett is still at Shands Rehabilitation Hospital, I suppose making progress. That is, when the doctors stop playing around with his medications. I come home stressed, to say the least. I tried to hunt down the doctor today to say, "Take him off EVERYTHING that prevents him from being alert. Wait, I'll take "awake". Actually, today was a pretty good day for Truett. Two of his Lion Club buddies visited him and Truett was thrilled. His humor was back, even if his eyes wanted to droop a little. Thank you, Charles and Tim!
*Of course, Mom and I are still eating. 'Nuff said!
*Puppies and cats rule the house!
* I can't get used to daylight savings time. But putting the puppies out in the light, is far better than stubbing my toe on an old wood stove that my sisters brought to my house for safe-keeping. (But, I forgive you!)
Once I accepted that I work in Gainesville half a day, I can deal with it.
