I have to blog ever so often to find out where I've been, what I'm doing, and what's going to happen next. Otherwise, I lose myself.
I suppose you can tell that I'm feeling pulled in all directions because none of my photographs are related. . .except that I took them and thought they were interesting subject matter. We've been so busy lately that we have not taken any drives for me to take pictures; and that's a bummer. Did I just date my self? My age?
At work, my fourth graders are beginning narratives (stories). Praise the Lord! I couldn't take another minute of an essay explaining something . After all this time, the children are maturing in their abilities to write. Just as it should be at this time of year. In February the fourth graders take the FCAT test, so we must move on to a differen genre.
The third graders, on the other hand, are still plodding through expository essays. Ugh!
Hey. I finished my book, The Bully Scarecrow, and give or take an hour or two, I'll be able to press the Publish button on blurb.com, and within 4-6 weeks, I'll have my book in my hands. I must admit. It's a cute one and features my own grandchildren.
I took Madeline and Oliver to swim lessons this afternoon and Maddie told me she was going to be EXCELLENT at my house the next time she comes out. She reminded me that she has been bad in the past, but now she will be good. She can also count to 100. . .well, she did leave the 80's out, but I didn't tell her that. Boy, she's growing up too quickly. She's now in kindergarten, you know. And that Oliver...at three years old, he is soooooo cute and sooooo talkative. Why don't I remember all these wonderful things about my own two children? They were just as cute and lovable and smart.
Well, Thanksgiving is upon us and Gator football games are coming up. Truett's daughter, Tina, and her son, Will, are arriving tomorrow and we're very excited. It will be fun...fun...FUN! Can't wait.
And that's where I am these days.
