Heaven must feel like today. Mid 70's, A breeze strong enough for the wind chimes to sound the tonal sounds of the soul. Even though we ran errands most of the day, I couldn't help but think that this must be what heaven is like.
Signs of spring, and that's quite a relief. Birds chirping early in the morning. Cardinals sneaking sunflower seeds while Roger watched and meowed. Everyone in North Florida must be enjoying the signs of spring. I thought I saw the pecan trees budding, but maybe not. Just wishful thinking.
The freeze last week left my beautiful camellias and azaleas brown on the branches. But today I'm hoping the new buds push right through and celebrate spring in Florida. Today I saw young redbud and wild plum trees blooming. NOt mine. I even saw acres and acres of land plowed and planted. We thought they might be strawberries, but maybe not. Everyone wants spring.
Everyone wants relief from the news.
We HAVE had some beautiful days lately! I am so thankful that I have a front porch this time of year. I like that you can leave in the morning wearing a long-sleeved shirt and jeans, then come home after lunch and change into shorts!! I took Erica for her first horseback riding lesson on Saturday. It's pretty far out of town, so I took a couple of magazines and books to read. I just sat in their yard (in a chair) enjoying the sound (and feel) of the wind in the trees and the bird chirping. It really makes me wonder how some people don't believe in God!
