Today was the last day of the 2006-07 school year with the children. I use to get all emotional about it. "Oh, I'll miss you" type of things; but I don't have a homeroom to bond with so it was just another day in my life as a teacher. I didn't cry. In fact, while on car rider duty this morning, I shouted, "7.750 hours left!" I know in about three weeks I'll wonder where all the children are. I'll wonder if I'll see them at the S&S or B&B food stores. Maybe I'll see them at Dollar General here in Ft. White, and they'll peek at me from the corner of the aisles and then duck behind the toy section. They always do. I do know they deserve a break and so do their teachers.
I can't believe the school year is already over for you. My, how the year has flown by. I have two children you're welcome to play with and teach any time you want.
