I am totally illiterate when it comes to technology. If you have read my blogs the past two entries, you will notice I finally figured out how to make my thumbnail photos larger. I had Merry Jennifer show me Christmas day. Mind you, I tried everything I could think of and finally came to the realization that Merry Jennifer must upload her photos from Flicker or Picasa. So I finally asked for her help.
"MJ, come show me what to do," I implored. She sat down, brought up my pictures and clicked on 'custom your pictures', and there they were...larger. It only took me two years to get to this stage of technology enlightenment, and it took her one minute.
So today I spent at least two hours trying to get 'printed words' on a book I want to publish in www.Blurb.com. I could drag photographs, but could never get words to type. Once again, I called my daughter. "Can you tell me how to get words to print?" I asked. She said she would look into it, but the words should come up.
Right after my conversation with Merry Jennifer I sat back down at the computer, drug a photograph where it needed to be, typed the script, and lo and behold, the words appeared. I wanted to bang my head against the wall about fifteen times. I think I was not in the correct cursor spot. So I have pretty much wasted about three hours because of my stupidity!
If I were a child technology would be second-nature.
Merry, I love reading your blogs..it has been a while. I understand about the picture thing completely.

I'm glad you figured it out. For me, it's all trial and error. And, unlike the men out there, I occasionally read the instructions. Can't wait to see the book you're working on!

Not only this, but the other day I told Truett my camera was broken. Everything was black when I looked through the viewfinder. "Take the lens cap off," he said. After that I said the camera would not flash. "That's simple. Put the card back in the camera." I'm so bad at this stuff.
