I didn't know I would enjoy this year's Christmas break as much as I have. I've pretty much gone about the regular weekend drill everyday. That includes loading the diswasher, doing laundry and tidying up.
However, Truett bought me a DVD for my Nikon D50 so I have begun watching episodes of that. Mind you, when I told him one week ago that my camera wouldn't take pictures and he told me, "Take the lens cap off", I felt pretty stupid. Then the next day I told him that my camera wouldn't flash and Truett told me to "Put the card back in the card reader." Well, I felt stupid twice.
So I watched only a small part of the DVD and now I can actually take a photograph and delete it if I so choose. I told Truett, "Don't overload me with technology. I have to do it at my own pace."
So what have I been doing? I'm writing a book on Blurb.com. I'm loving every moment of it; but I have literally forgotten what day this is, what date this is, and what are we doing today?
What a wonderful, marvelous feeling. No minute-to-minute schedules like I face in the educational system. Heck, tomorrow I may sleep until 7:30. Then again, I may arise and take a walk. But one thing is for sure. I won't be on car-rider duty!
