Our next destination was Skagway, a quaint little town made for tourists hoping to buy gold jewelry. The deals were so good I could buy a jade pendant encased in gold for $850 and that was half priced. No sale here. This next picture is a photo of Skagway taken from our ship.
Our day out of Skagway was spent on a Motorcoach traveling over the White Pass route through theYukon, the same trail used by gold miners in 1898. On the ride we stopped at the Yukon Suspension Bridge.
I was fascinated with the snowy rugged mountains. The snow reminded me of powdered sugar on some mountains. I also was intrigued with the snow melting around the edges of jagged rocks. The rock retains the sun's heat causing a trough around the rock.
I must say that on this drive I was hoping to see wild animals. Desperate for the sight of wild land animals, Then, wouldn't you know it, I saw some wild animals. These three bears were feeding on dandelions beside a railroad track.
After that we saw more sled dogs and the sweetest little bird. Truett photographed the bird.
But my most favorite of all the animals I had seen up until this point were the snowshoe hares.
Oh, my. What big feet you have little fella!"
"And look how curious you are."
Well, this is enough for one day. More sights and adventures await.
More awesome pictures! I want to know if you and Dad walked across that scary looking bridge. (I think I know the answer.)

I thought that first photo of the snowshoe hare was a deer. Beautiful photos...love the tour.
