Finally.
I'm back.
It has indeed been a busy week so far; but not as busy as it will get in the next few months. The good new is. . . I'm back.
I am back at school and doing fine so far with my classes; but then again, a few of the third and fourth graders have written essays for me that are pretty much ramblings; so I know my work will be cut out for me.
But that's what I live for: reading papers and teaching the children how to make them better.
I now have "teaching fodder."
Teaching fodder? I know you're thinking, "Give me a break."
So I will.
"Teaching material."
Anyway, I've been sort of down and blue because of all the afternoon rains which are pretty common at this time of year in Florida.
Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love rain storms with lightning and thunder and lights flickering off and on.
Even the satellite freezing on an image I have no desire to look at, kind of excites me, because I know it may be the big one. . .the storm that shuts down all our communication systems and leaves Truett and me with only face to face conversation available.
So why am I showing you photos of sunlight streaming though my side porch . . . my favorite porch?
Because that's the last time I saw sunshine in the afternoon and it was probably a week ago and I liked the way the sun rays streamed across the table.
Cool, huh?
Hey, I even went outside tonight to prove we've had all these storms; and just because I did, I'll show you a picture of one of my wet flowers.
So I guess you could say I'm back. . .but all wet.
