This afternoon after Truett came in from working, he asked, "Did you blog today?"
"Nope," I snapped. "I had nothing to say. . .e pecially after my last two stupid posts."
And then we went about our afternoon chores in High Springs: cleaners, check on weed-eater, buy mower blades and last but not least. . .Lotto!
Well, about 6:30 p.m., after we were finished with chores and were resting before the thought of a dinner came to fruition, I called my twin, Sherry.
While I was chatting with her I said, "Wait. Listen to this. It's starting to rain."
And I held the phone out toward the driveway for her to listen to one of the sweetest sounds in the world in Florida.
Rain. Rain in Florida, after a long, hot, humid day, is a glorious sound.
No lightning.
No thunder.
Just the steady drumming of rain on the roof and an occasional Slat! Splat! on the sidewalk.
I have no picture with this post.
I have nothing that can tell you of the wondrous smell of rain. But then, I think maybe GLADE'S SPRING RAIN HOUSEHOLD SPRAY would be the closest thing for you to relate to.
It is now 7:16 p.m. and the steady rain continues, although there is thunder.
AsI told Sherry, "The rain brings joy to my heart."
Don't see yourself short. Your last two posts were great. They show why you are a great teacher your creative mind which makes learning fun. Keep up the good work.

Now I've heard the Florida rain twice today.

I heard the rain AND I smelled it (and not with Glade).
Thanks Merry!
