When I was young and single I had a 1968 VW beetle and it threw a rod on I-65 as I was headed to my mom and dad's. I was able to coast between cars to park it on the side of the road. And then I cried and cried and cried.
A trucker pulled up and offered his help, so I rode with him in his semi to a small town in Tennessee. The trucker tried to console me. That day he taught me a lesson. His words, "Mam, crying ain't gonna get your car fixed."
I'm trying to apply that lesson learned today. Crying won't make my mama better.
Good lesson, actually.
She'll get better - it's just going to be a bumpy road, and you're up front in the passenger seat.

You go right ahead and cry. It's good medicine for the soul.
God bless you and your mama.
