This afternoon Truett and I took Maddie and Oliver to swim lessons at the UF swimming complex.
My brother, Steve (from Nashville), went with us while Mom's neighbor stayed with Mom.
It felt good to be in the fresh spring air watching the grandchildren swim.
Maddie was the youngest of three girls in her class, but she was the strongest swimmer. That's pretty good considering Maddie is 6 and the other two girls appeared to be 9 and 11 years old, or thereabout.
Meanwhile, Oliver was exactly where he needed to be to learn swim basics.
All the children get rewarded with cookies following their lessons. The children say that's the best part.
But that's not my best part.
No siree, Bob.
My best part is kissing the grandchildren's wet eyelashes!
Sweet eyelashes.
