Sometimes mine and Truett's little drives turn into lunch and exploring. That's what happened yesterday.
Truett and I take short drives so we can reconnect with each other without puppies whining to be let out of their pen, without the telephone ringing, or without tourists dropping in at the studio while their children float down the Ichetucknee River.
Yesterday our little drive took us all the way to Bell, Florida where we had lunch at Akins Bar-B-Q Grill. While I was in the restroom Truett noticed a black and white photograph on the wall and asked the waitress where that old house was located.
She told him, "Behind Skaff's store." So our search was on.
We wound our way along twisting dirt roads until we found the old house; so of course I hopped out of the car and took my own photographs.
What began as a fifteen minute short drive ended up being two hours. Those the best kind of drives there are, especially if I find something unique to photograph.
Great pictures and sounds like you and your hubby had an extra special excursion. :-)

Those are wonderful photos. Is the house deserted? I can't tell.
