I am finally adjusted to my role as a caregiver.
Every day Truett and I go to Gainesville for a doctor's appointment or for rehab. Every day I am up early, dressed, and prepared to drive.
I can now lift the wheelchair almost effortlessly (although now and again my knee gets a shooting pain in it).
Truett is doing well. He has his ups and downs at rehab; but other than not being able to walk, he is doing fine. Wheeling and dealing, I like to say.
Not much banging into walls with his scooter because Truett has pretty much mastered that machine. . . well, almost. . . except for early mornings.
I still cook pretty lousy meals; but they are healthy enough if you count the food groups by color. You know. Red, green and yellow.
Since I have a couple of friends who are retiring this year, I have asked what's on their Bucket List because I'm curious.
My bucket list lasted about six months; but I'm not complaining because I'm not in control.
We all know who is.
I'm not taking many photographs and I'm sad about that; but hey, we're all fine and dandy around here.
ou are an awesome Lady Merry George!
