We are keeping Madeline and Oliver for almost a week.
We do this every year; but this year is already much better.
Madeline is now seven and a half and Oliver is almost five. Therefore, conversation is better and I don't have to carry a child in my arms or on my hip.
Here is Oliver scratching a mosquito bite. Coming to the country is tough on a city kid.
I was lucky this week of babysitting the grandchildren.
Tina, Truett's eldest daughter, flew in from Chicago on Saturday and she immediately took over by entertaining our grandchildren.
Hands and hands of cards were played. Crazy Eights (or should I say, "Elephants and Zebras").
We played "War", which in simple terms means, high card wins.
Somehow, Oliver managed to win most of the games, even though he carried an attitude!
Here is the reason why OIiver won in card games.
Madeline Kate Markham.
On several occasions, Maddie fixed the deck so Oliver could win.
My mom, who was sitting on the couch watching the whole card game kept screeching, "She's cheating!
She's fixing the deck!"
Yep! This is my granddaughter who is a rutheless card player.
My God, she is beautiful!
I used to shuffle my cards around as well, but it was so I would WIN!! Oliver has a sweet sister.
