I have two very confused puppies. Last night, they wandered around sensing something was not right.
You see, my mama is in England and formed habits are hard to let go of. Maggie eventually, settled down as Roger made a pest of himself.
Lily is having the hardest time with Mom being gone. Not only does she follow me around, but she never did lay on the back of the couch to watch the Gator game last night. She found her favorite chair in the dining room and stayed there. . .alone.
I'm not having the breakdown this time. Oh, no! Other members of this family have feelings, too.
Meanwhile Roger insisted on sitting on the couch with me. Usually, this causes some hissing and chasing. Obviously, someone's apple cart was upset...many someones'.
Today I tried to keep things pretty normal until my pets adjust to their "new mama" . . . me!
Most every afternoon Mom and I go to the front porch and chat, call my twin, watch birds, and watch the puppies drag each other around by the ears to help mop the floor.
They especially love barking at our yard cat, Molly, who stares them down from the outside.
So, I ask you.
Who upset the apple cart?
I just read this to Mom. And when I got to the last sentence, she raised her hand and said 'Me.' I am laughing!
