Here are a few things that made up my December day. Roger, obviously has been clawing under the front porch Christmas tree and has worn himself out. Bad Roger!
I drove Truett and Clay to Lake City this morning for last minute Christmas shopping for Clay. On the way home, I spotted these woodstorks. I told Truett and Clay I had to take a photo; and this is what I heard, "Mom, you're gonna' kill us. Pull off the road! I
was trying to pull off the road near the Sports Complex, but it was difficult because there is not much room. "Merry! What the heck are you doing? You're gonna' kill us!" Truett bellowed.
Oh, Lord! Give me a break and let me take a photograph of wood storks!
Finally, our last minute shopping was done and I happily drove my men home without an accident. I couldn't get home fast enough.
We settled in for the afternoon until I realized I needed to mail Christmas cards, mostly to family, so I asked Truett to ride with me.
At the Post Office, Truett began putting stamps on the envelopes. "Truett! You can't put that stamp in the middle of the envelope! Truett, you can't put that stamp upside-down! What are you thinking? You can't put that stamp sideways!"
Who knows. Maybe my family will get a kick out of their misplaced stamps. But really, maybe they won't get their cards at all.
Then I said, "Let's go look at the rivers,"
Long day.
By now it was 4:00 p.m. and time to prepare for supper. I looked out my kitchen window and saw this in the cook shed.
Did you see report on comeback of wood storks? WESH 2. Reporting from Merrit Island.
