Sometimes on my way back from Alachua or Gainesville, I will buy Mom fast food because she likes fast food ever so often. Well, today I drove through McDonalds in Alachua and ordered her a Happy Meal (with a girl's toy of course).
As I drove to the window to pay for the meal, a young woman said, "Hi, Mrs. George." I asked her her name and she told me. "You know, Mrs. George, your class was so much fun. Don't get me wrong, you were tough on us . . . for all the right reasons, but I loved your writing class."
I drove on home with a smile on my face and just know in my heart that the young woman's words rounded out 2014 for me.
Happy New Year's everyone. I have high hopes for 2015!
Excellent, Mom. I have high hopes, too. For all of us. Happy New Year!
